Speyside is world famous for its  malt whisky trail. Many of the distilleries have visitor’s centres open to the public and the ones most local to Aberlour include: Aberlour, Macallan, Glenfarclas, Cardhu, Glen Grant, Glenfiddich / Balvenie, Cragganmore and Glen Livet. The Spirit of Speyside Whisky festival takes place is May and attracts visitors from all over the world and offers an opportunity for enthusiasts to visit distilleries not usually open to the public.
